In a QUINTET rules one-match, JBJJF Open Weight Women’s Champion Carolina faced off against Azuki Nakao, who won in amateur Shooto and recently turned professional.
Carolina went for a leg grab, and Nakao attempted a throw, resulting in them both falling out of the ring. The match resumed by standing, and Carolina pulled guard. After one brief restart to standing, Carolina pulled guard again. As Nakao attempted to secure Carolina’s leg, Carolina countered by locking in a toe hold, securing the victory by submission.
