Abe has competed in various organizations such as UFC, ONE, and RIZIN. He has held titles including the 10th DEEP Welterweight Championship and the 11th Welterweight King of Pancrase. In recent years, he has been battling against strong opponents in RIZIN.
On the other hand, Yoon is an MMA fighter from South Korea, with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses in Road FC.
In Round 1, Abe switched stances while Yoon fought from a southpaw position. Abe charged in with a right high kick and right hook, taking Yoon down. From the top position, Abe applied pressure, then released to throw left and right hooks, landing calf kicks while standing. After receiving a high kick from Yoon, Abe went for a takedown and aimed for Yoon’s back. Along the cage, he delivered short knee strikes to wear down Yoon while maintaining pressure. In the closing moments, both fighters exchanged left and right hooks.
In Round 2, both exchanged punches early, leading to a clinch against the cage where Yoon gained the upper position while Abe attempted a triangle choke. After Yoon escaped, Abe delivered a left calf kick. Yoon accurately landed a left low kick and right jab, increasing his striking volume. Abe responded with calf kicks, but Yoon countered with a powerful left straight, followed by a barrage of punches and a left elbow strike, creating a decisive moment in the fight. Both fighters started to bleed, prompting a doctor’s check.
While Yoon’s injury was deemed safe to continue, Abe was unable to continue due to his cut. With the doctor stopping the fight, Yoon earned a TKO victory.
After the match, Yoon took the microphone and said, “I wanted to show a good performance to everyone in Japan, but it wasn’t an impressive match. If I get called again, I will work hard to deliver a better fight.”
