In Round 1, Yamada extended his left punch. Chota waited while using jabs to keep Yamada at bay and thwarted a takedown attempt. Yamada threw a left punch, and Chota dodged the takedown while posing to kick, causing Chota to fall out of the ring.
In Round 2, Yamada jumped in with a left punch. Chota avoided it and fell out of the ring. Yamada initiated a takedown, and both fell outside the ring. Chota landed a left punch, and as Yamada charged forward, he fell outside again. This sequence repeated multiple times.
In Round 3, due to the frequent falling out of the ring, Yamada positioned himself close to the edge of the mat to invite Chota in. When Yamada went for a takedown, Chota grappled him and accidentally delivered an illegal knee strike to the head. After a brief pause, the match resumed, with Chota receiving a one-point deduction. Chota threw left and right hooks, while Yamada continued his takedown attempts. Chota landed a right punch. Yamada circled while going for a takedown. The decision was 2-1 in favor of Chota.
