Apollo Nakayama faced Jou Abe in a heated clash during the second preliminary match under MMA rules.
In Round 1, Nakayama, in a southpaw stance, threw a left punch as he jumped in. Abe scored a knockdown with a right hook and immediately went for a front choke. Nakayama, on top, unleashed a series of hammer fists and ground and pound. The referee stopped the match.
