My late father was a big fan of Mr. Sakuraba, and I am very honored to have the opportunity to compete in this Quintet. I believe my father, who is in heaven, would be very happy as well. I’ve leveled up since my last competition, so my goal is to secure a submission and put on a wonderful match! I’m also grateful to Shinmyou-san for inviting me! My opponent is young, so I expect it to be a fast-paced and exciting match. I’ve never fought her before, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to compete in a major tournament right after turning professional and to face a very strong and well-known opponent like Carolina. On the day of the match, I will approach it with respect and will do my utmost to win. Carolina is a black belt in jiu-jitsu and has a strong impression as one of the top competitors in both jiu-jitsu and grappling. Although it’s my first grappling match and my opponent is very strong, I won’t lose in spirit and will go all out to defeat her. Thank you for your support!
